Sand Patch Road, Torndirrup National Park, Albany, Western
Australia 6330
Our journey continued to one of my favourite sites, the Albany Wind
Farm. Me being me, I have quite a fascination for all things electrical and this was a
must-do stop off! The wind farm is accessabel by car or really any vehicle and has some
great paths, along with well signposted markings explaining some of the key points in the
park!
This is one of the high voltage transformers used at the wind farm.
There appears to be a transformer per wind turbine. I am also assuming that this is some
sort of control box/isolation panel too.
These videos (along with many images captured on this site) were all
recorded using my Vintage Sony Mavica FD92 floppy disk camera. The camera is memory stick
compatible which makes recording longer videos possible. It also has a USB port which
makes transferring files to my Macbook Air much easier. I edit the photos and videos on
the macbook if necessary and then upload them to the internet.
