Singapore
2026 Page 3
Our third day started with a visit to Marina Bay Sands. We caught the
MRT there, after exploring some of the downtown area and enjoyed some breakfast in the
food court inside Marina Bay Sands. The food was fantastic and as always there is a
massive selection. What is quite interesting for me is the cost of goods here.
"luxury" items like clothing, electronics, watches, computers etc are a very
similar price to Perth, but food is easily 1/4 of the cost. Even food items directly
produced in Western Australia, like Pauls milk (which is made by Harvey Fresh) is 1/4 of
the cost that it is in Perth. Your average lunch or dinner in Singapore costs about
$10-15pp including a drink.........
After our food, we then started the journey to the Observation Deck at Marina Bay
Sands. We received a photo and frame too which was a really nice touch!

Inside Marina Bay Sands, they have a network of canals where you can
hire a boat and be taken around the mall! Anthony purchased a Mercedes Benz
T shirt here.
Inside the Gardens By The Bay, there is a Jurrassic Nest Food Hall,
featuring these cute little dinosaurs everywhere and lots of greenery. The space feels
like the old Yagan Square in Perth, but much more comfortable and much more green. The
ceilings are concrete and i'm pretty sure there is a park on the roof
